Founder's Day Flashback

$

We celebrate Founder’s Day every year at QVC on June 13th because, for so many of us, it is something spectacular that started from our Founder, Joseph Segal, to take shopping to another level. To bring products to people that may never have had the chance to own – and to do it from the comfort of your own home. It’s been a journey and we have gone through many transitions to get to where we are today. And, by the way, we are never really finished as we are committed to always being an exciting and informative place to visit. There are many, many people behind-the-scenes working hard to make sure it stays that way.

Here is a look back at some of those transitions and thoughts from a few Program Hosts that have been here through them, that we hope you will enjoy;

Who remembers the original QVC logo?

Jane Treacy roasting in a Nesco roaster - with big 80's hair!

Mary Beth Roe: On March 15, 1987 I started in the “shopping at home” business! I had no idea what a great ride I was in for back then. Looking back, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! But it's not luck, it's been God's blessings and His plan for my life, and I'm so grateful!! Enjoy looking back at His blessings on your life!

Can't forget Q Bird!

Jane Treacy on an early set that actually rotated in a circle to change sets.

The Lucky Number machine! Our Order Entry representatives, guests or models would pick the numbers. Sometimes there would be a wild ball that would fly out of the machine. That made for plenty of laughs but horror for the person pulling the numbers!

Pat James-DementriHappy Founders Day QVC! I am so very proud and honored to be part of QVC of these years! I will always remember our founder, Mr. Segal telling us not to ever over exaggerate in a product sell because a customer would be disappointed when they receive it...undersell do not oversell an item. I also have to say it has been fun along  the way.. From memories of Q Bird, prize wheel, cruises, fifty and fifty tours and lots more... All this to say thank you for making the Q what it is today.

Who is that guy with hair??

Rick Domeier and Dan Wheeler - before they were The Food Dudes they were the Home Project guys!

Dan Wheeler: I hope you enjoy this picture of a much younger Rick and Dan from our Home Projects show years ago.  I'll never forget when they brought out a cake for our Ten Year Anniversary of that show.  We turned it into a cake fight and even got our guests involved.  Great fun and great memories.I often think about those early days on QVC when I look back over my 25 years with this amazing company.  In the early years it was rare to have a guest on with a product.  It was pretty much the host and the callers.  It's hard to believe we were located in a small building in a corporate park just a few miles away from Studio Park.  Today that building is called Founder's Park and it houses a very small portion of the company and we don't produce any of our "live programming" there.

Here is one of our Interns, Teddy, having fun behind the camera. She wasn’t even born when QVC was founded!

Here are 3 QVC team members, Eva, Erika and Wendy, that have been here since 1988 and actually started in Order Entry taking orders on this type of phone. You may have placed an order with one of them!

These are just a few of our memories. From people that have spent their whole career at QVC to you, the viewers that have been with us for so long, it’s been a great ride and an honor to be in your home. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store!

All of the fun QVC "nostalgia" can be seen on our Studio Tour so come visit us!

What are some of your favorite memories from our early beginnings?

Nick Cannon Says Hello To His New QVC Family!

Hello QVC Family!!!!  Wow!!! I have finally made it – I am going to actually be on QVC!!  At least this is what my grandmother thinks, and we all know she is the boss!  I am the host of America’s Got Talent, had hit shows on MTV, produced shows on Nickelodeon and starred in major movies, but launching my new Ncredible tablet on QVC is what officially makes me a star in my grandmother’s eyes.  (of course only after she gets to spend some time with my twins, Moroccan & Monroe!!!)  Some of my oldest memories are sitting at my grandmother’s house watching QVC.  She has been an avid watcher, supporter and customer all her life Although we live in Southern California, you would think she lived at the North Pole with all the Bethlehem Lights she decorates with and Q Boxes our UPS man drops off daily…

Nick & Grandparents

Nick, Grandparents

So what am I doing at QVC must be your next question…right?  I am launching my brand new Ncredible tablet!   I started this project 2 years ago.  Growing up with the loving support of my Grandmother we did not always have the money to buy the high priced newest gadgets that I may have been screaming for.  My passion was to create an off the charts tablet that most people could now afford.  It had to be a tablet that I loved first!  Since I am constantly on the road I needed a tablet that would let me video chat with beautiful daughter Moroccan and my incredible son Monroe, easily organize my vast social networks, bring together all the Talent that I am constantly trying to help, keep ME entertained, and of course bridge the sometime global gap between where my work takes me and my loving wife Mariah. We are always sending videos to each other to make it feel like we are together during times that my work doesn’t allow me to be present. I wanted to make a tablet that keeps us connected and share our experiences together wherever we may be.

Nick & family

Launching my tablet on QVC is such an exciting opportunity for me, not only do I get to make my grand mom happy but I get to share with you all the hard work I have poured into this project. One of the coolest features on the tablet is the exclusive Ncredible Network.  The Network allows users like you in the QVC community, to submit videos, be inspired by celebrities, entrepreneurs and media moguls through their stories, and even inspire people through your stories. It’s a community within the tablet and I can’t wait for you guys to be able to join.

Born a dreamer, my life has already afforded me more blessings than I could have ever imagined.  Being a Father is helping me stay focused on what is really important in life.  I can’t wait to hear about all your wonderful stories and join you on 7/12.  What makes you Ncredible?

Check out the Ncredible Tablet here!

Minnesota Mint snowballs

Cookie ingredients:

1 cup softened butter (or shortening)

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 teaspoons water

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups flour

1 cup quick oatmeal

Mix together all of the above ingredients and roll into 1 inch size balls. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Frosting recipe:

2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon mint extract

1/4 cup milk

Green food coloring

1-2 cups shredded, sweetened coconut

Mix the first three ingredients together, then add just enough green food coloring to the frosting to make it a pretty mint color.

Allow baked cookies to cool a few minutes. Then, dip each ball into the frosting and then roll in the coconut and set on a plate to cure.

No snowball fights...just eat and stay warm! :)

Counting our blessings,

Mary Beth

Nutcracker Pumpkin Bread

You all know how near and dear to me and my family the Nutcracker is, so I thought this would be a good time to share my Nutcracker Pumpkin Bread recipe. 1 cup plain pumpkin
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup water
2 eggs
1 cup raisins
1 cup walnuts

Baked Ziti

One tradition my family has always had during the holidays is our Christmas Eve Dinner. My mother has always enjoyed cooking large meals with a variety of flavors, but a definite staple dish each year is always her Baked Ziti and homemade garlic bread. Living alone in California, I quickly learned my way around the kitchen, and the photo above is a collage of my 2013 Christmas Eve Dinner. This year I decided to make one which incorporated meat and ricotta cheese. I found last year's recipe from: www.allrecipes.com

Follow my Facebook Page Alberti Popaj QVC to see other great photos of the things I make in my kitchen and around my house, as well as what’s going on at the Q!

“Nikki’s Healthy Cookie”

Don't judge this cookie by how it looks! I wanted to share this cookie recipe with you from a favorite blog of mine, 101 Cookbooks. You may not know but, along with my love for all things beauty, I love to cook and bake. Claire loves these cookies and can't get enough - and that's okay because they are all healthy ingredients. I hope you try them and love them as much as we do!

3 large, ripe bananas, well mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup coconut oil, barely warm - so it isn't solid (or alternately, olive oil)
2 cups rolled oats
2/3 cup almond meal
1/3 cup coconut, finely shredded & unsweetened
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon fine grain sea salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
6 - 7 ounces chocolate chips or dark chocolate bar chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, racks in the top third.
In a large bowl combine the bananas, vanilla extract, and coconut oil. Set aside. In another bowl whisk together the oats, almond meal, shredded coconut, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks/chips. The dough is a bit looser than a standard cookie dough, don't worry about it. Drop dollops of the dough, each about 2 teaspoons in size, an inch apart, onto a parchment (or Silpat) lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 - 14 minutes. I baked these as long as possible without burning the bottoms and they were perfect - just shy of 15 minutes seems to be about right in my oven.
Makes about 3 dozen bite-sized cookies.

Apple Cinnamon Pancakes with Warm Cider Sauce

There wasn’t much that could distract me from opening presents as a child….unless I smelled the buttery aroma of apple cider sauce and cinnamon apple pancakes coming from our kitchen.  This recipe is one of my favorites to this day…and always evokes wonderful memories of me and my parents during the holidays.

Ingredients:

Pancakes:

2 cups pancake or biscuit mix

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 egg

1-1/3 cup milk

3/4 cup apples, grated

Sour cream (optional garnish)

Créme fraiche (optional garnish)

Greek yogurt (optional garnish)

Cider Sauce:

1 cup sugar

2 Tbsp corn starch

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

2 cups apple cider

2 Tbsp lemon juice

1/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine

Preparation:

1.To make the pancakes, combine the biscuit mix, cinnamon, egg, and milk, then stir in the apples last. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop the batter onto a hot griddle to ensure evenly sized pancakes. Cook until lightly brown on both sides. Keep the pancakes warm in the oven while you make the sauce.

2.To prepare the sauce, combine the cornstarch and spices in a small sauce pan. Add the cider and lemon juice and cook over low heat, stirring often, until the mixture gently boils and thickens. (If the sauce doesn't thicken, add a little more cornstarch.) Remove the pan from the heat and add the butter. Immediately serve it over your finished pancakes and garnish with a dollop of sour cream, créme fraiche, or Greek yogurt, if desired

MERRY CHRISTMAS IN JULY FROM ALL OF US TO ALL OF YOU!

In Celebration of Christmas in July some of your favorite Hosts are sharing their favorite Christmas memories!

"Look at the size of "Santa's" hands in this pix!! I'm 6 or 7 here. Some family traditions: mom n dad would ring bells during the night to fake us out that the Big Guy had arrived. And I would always wake up w ribbon candy on a plate next to my bed. Again, Santa. My stockings always weighed abt 10 pounds, and our dog Jiggs would eat candy canes off bottom row of the Christmas tree. OH!! and Santa brought me a goldfish one year. Plus Christmas morning we always ate Sara Lee frozen coffee cake for breaky. Ahh the 70's!!"

            Shawn Killinger

"My oldest daughter and my husband tried to convince us to get a dog for a long time. I had never had a dog and didn’t want another responsibility. I was working overnights at the time and trying to take care of two kids and a house. But when my husband found Mike, he was impossible to resist. We secretly arranged to get him home on Christmas Eve. When my daughter walked into the kitchen that night, she saw him on my lap and burst into happy tears. That is my greatest Christmas memory!"

              Sandra Bennett

"My best Christmas memory to date is this last Christmas when Steve and I shared the gender and name of our baby. My family likes to come up with a fun way to announce the gender, so Steve and I decided to make our big announcement by hanging a stocking on the mantle with Bree’s name on it. We kept it covered until the time was right and when we revealed the secret, the room burst with happiness! It was amazing."

          Amy Stran

"One of my favorite Christmas memories was when I was about 6, my sister Mona was 4 and my brother Clint was not quite 3. The Christmas tree was up and the lights were strung on our house, and the houses of most of our neighbors, in the 1960's tract home where we lived.

The three of us, Mona, Clint and I, were in our living room staring at our tree with all the lights and decorations (what little kid doesn’t love doing that?) and talking excitedly about what we wanted for Christmas.

I remember my mother saying, simply, "we celebrate Christmas, because it is Jesus’ birthday". Well, for little kids, when it’s someone’s birthday, the thing to do is to sing "Happy Birthday". And that’s exactly what we wanted to do. So, my mother got a candle, and put it in the center of the coffee table there in the living room and lit it, and my sister and brother and I sang “Happy Birthday To You” to baby Jesus. We were thrilled and I can still remember the tickled look on my parents faces as the three of us belted out that birthday song."

          Leah Williams

"When my daughters were 1 month & 6 months old we spent Christmas at my in-laws with the entire extended family and friends all in town.  Everyone showed up on Christmas & spent the night because the we baptized our two daughters the following day. It was such a special time with everyone I love celebrating the birth of the baby Jesus & dedicating my babies to our heavenly father."

One year Gabby and I made a last-minute holiday road trip by car from San Antonio to our favorite place in the world, a small town in Colorado named Ouray. We didn't have room for a proper Christmas tree in the car so we packed a Charlie Brown tree in the trunk! It was without a doubt our most memorable Christmas ever. I can't wait to do it again!

Jennifer Coffey

Our family's tradition for the last few years is to go to NYC the Sunday before Christmas, go to church at the Brooklyn Tabernacle, eat somewhere fun and go to see the Rockefeller tree! See the new tall Freedom tower!

Mary Beth Roe

Merry Christmas in July! My Mom always liked to host a "Open House" around the holidays. She would invite friends to drop in, and we would have the house all decorated and, of course, yummy treats! So, since we spend so much time together I thought I would host a virtual open house and share some of my favorite decorations with you! (Feel free to munch a Christmas cookie along with me!)

Here is my living room, and we spend a lot of time here with friends and family. It's also where Deirdre displays her Nativity collection.

Jane Treacy

These are some of Deirdre's Nativity sets; she loves to find unusual sets and has even more around the room.

My Mom left me her precious Hummel Nativity set, and my Dad made me the stable to display it. One of my most treasured pieces. Baby Jesus makes his appearance on Christmas eve.

And he powder room gets overrun with snowmen!

Saw this house last nite (Dec. 27th 2013) on way to friends. Awesome! Cars lined up to see it. Now that's some accessorizing. Glad to see others keeping decorations up even tho Xmas is over.

An interview with Stacey Stauffer and Alberti Popaj by Anne Creedon

When I have the privilege to interview our hosts, they’re always extremely nice—which is probably why our customers love our hosts and guests so much! I feel like I get a sneak peek into their personalities when I sit across the table from them. Some folks are larger than life, others are quietly sweet, and some of them exude a cheerful disposition that makes you feel like you’ve known them for years. When interviewing two of our newest program hosts, Stacey Stauffer and Alberti Popaj, I felt like I was with friends and almost forgot I was conducting an interview!

Anne: Stacey, you were a TV news anchor/reporter before coming to QVC. What was that like?

Stacey: It was an incredible adrenalin rush and an amazing career. My goal was always to become a reporter and anchor in Philadelphia, and I’m one of the luckiest women in the world to have reached that goal. But having my boys, Ben and Larry, planted the seed in the back of my mind that I may not want to do news forever. Even in local news, I could never guarantee my son that I could make it to his baseball game, so I thought there had to be something I could do where I’d have a little more down time. So I credit them for opening my eyes so I could jump into this challenging new world—a dream I never knew I had!

Anne: Alberti, some of our customers will recognize you because you were an on-air guest at QVC. How was that experience?

Alberti: I loved it! Every moment I spent in this building as a guest was a happy moment, which is what made my decision to move here from the West Coast an easy one. I’m from Los Angeles and Palm Springs, so there’s a little bit of difference in the climate! I moved here on January 4, 2014, and on January 5 the polar vortex shifted. That morning, I was running late and found my car’s windshield covered in ice. I’m originally a New Yorker, but I didn’t learn to drive until I moved to California. I had to call my dad and ask, “How do you get ice off a windshield?”

Anne: How is being a program host different from your previous television experiences?

Stacey: In journalism, it’s very much about just giving the facts. You keep your opinion out of it and don’t let it influence the story. At QVC, we give viewers the information, but we also give our ideas and opinions.

Alberti: I’m on the air more frequently now so I have more of a relationship with the customer. I get to share what I like about products and what I think they’re going to like.

Anne: What was your first impression of QVC?

Stacey: This is Disney World! I was absolutely astounded by the energy that almost knocks you over when you step in the door. All the employees are happy and love what they do.

Alberti: The happiest place on earth! Everybody is happy and smiling! And I would describe it as a family, because from the second I walked in I felt welcomed, invited, liked, and supported.

Anne: Tell us about some of your favorite things. Pizza topping?

Stacey: It depends on my mood. It could be an onion and cheese night or spinach, ricotta, and garlic—lots of garlic!

Anne: Ice cream flavor?

Alberti: Ben & Jerry’s Mint Chocolate Cookie! It’s the best ice cream you will ever eat because it’s mint ice cream with Oreos crushed up inside.

Anne: Hobbies?

Stacey: Something I really love to do is bird watching. But not just any birds—birds of prey! One of the top items on my bucket list is to see a bald eagle in the wild. Every September is a big migration time for bald eagles at this place called Hawk Mountain in Kempton, Pennsylvania. Wouldn’t you know, after years of going, something like 20 bald eagles flew through either the day before or the day after I was there?

Alberti: I love to work out and do any physical sport. And I love to grill and bake. Anything that happens on top of the stove isn’t my thing, but grilling and baking covers all you need—the cornbread and the ribs!

Anne: Last, but not least, what are some of your favorite QVC

products?

Stacey: It’s changing! Having worked in television news and makeup being a part of being on the air, I came to QVC geared toward loving the beauty products. But now that I’m here, I love learning about things like garden tools and gardening— which I’m horrible at! But as I’m presenting these kinds of products, I’m learning while I’m on air and I love that.

Alberti: Oh gosh, what’s not to like? I love philosophy*, which is my daily ritual when it comes to my body wash, lotion, and fragrance. And I love my Little Giant* ladder because I just moved into my new house and that’s helping me more than ever. Everybody needs one!

One of the greatest aspects of QVC, is it's involvement with the community. Whether it's local or national, QVC has teamed up with a number of charities over the years in support to make a difference while building real relationships along the way.

Each year, for the last 17 years, more than 2,000 guests report to the Hamptons for one of the biggest charity events, the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's Super Saturday. These guests consist of celebrities, designers, editors, fashion lovers, and, of course, families and supporters.

We are proud to share, that since 2007, QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE has generated more than $7.4 million for OCRF (Ovarian Cancer Research Fund). This is a two-hour live broadcast from the event, where our mission is to reach out to millions of homes across the country, to shop designer items at half their MSRP. 80% of the purchase price of donated merchandise benefits Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

*Based upon suppliers’ representations of the value. No sales may have been made at these prices.
**Purchase price excludes shipping, handling, and tax.

You may join our hosts Lisa Robertson and Courtney Cason, during the live broadcast, this Saturday 7/26, but don't miss out on what the rest of the host team has to say in support of OCRF's Super Saturday Event.

I am Hearting for my Dad who recently beat kidney and colon cancer. Love you Dad!

All of us who have been affected by cancer know what a difficult struggle it poses.  I am currently facing it in my own family and I hope that one day soon we can find the ultimate cure.  Now is our time to do something about it.  What a “win-win” Super Saturday is.  Shop for incredible products and help cancer research to help cancer patients win their battle!  God bless!

Hearting family and friends!

I'd give every bit of my heart to find a cure, and all of my love to go with it.

Celebrating Christmas in July by Sharing Holiday Blunders

My first Christmas Dinner almost Burned Down the House!

New House, New Marriage, New Baby.  It finally came time to host my first, official family holiday dinner.  Christmas seemed like the perfect time to do it.  I actually had off from work, a rarity in the T.V. business.  I decided to make a traditional rib roast a la Emeril Lagasse with all the fancy trimmings… including a lyonnaise potato recipe courtesy of my favorite Philadelphia restaurant at the time: Le Bec Fin.

It would just be my immediate family -  a party of about 15.  Manageable, right?   I started prepping dinner Christmas Eve - roasting the garlic for the beef… cutting the strawberries for the shortcake and thinly slicing pounds upon pounds of potatoes, feeling very Parisian indeed.

I also felt so grown up, so proud, a true homemaker as I went to sleep that night.

Finally, the big day arrived. The presents were opened, the family was together and the amazing meal I had planned was slowly cooking in the oven.  Everyone was laughing and sharing great memories as I watched in awe at how easily things were coming together.  Of course, it was just at that moment when the "you know what" hit the fan.

All I can remember is the glaring sound that began to pierce our ears.  Confusion sunk in. Everyone went into a panic.  Where was that awful noise coming from?  And why is it getting hard to see inside the house?  Suddenly, smoke started filling up my downstairs.  I ran right to the stove and what did I see?  All those wonderful French potatoes I was so proud to make were now over-bubbling and burning at the bottom of the oven.  Leave it to a novice not to have a dutch oven big enough.

We quickly threw open the doors, rushed the kids outside the house and started fanning the smoke detectors in hopes of silencing the alarm.  IT DIDN'T WORK!  It kept going, the sound was so obnoxious it was hard to think.  Now the kids are crying, so we disconnected the smoke alarm in hopes of bringing peace and tranquility back to the house.  WHAT? NO LUCK!  The alarm was STILL going and that's when we realized the house alarm we installed at the house - included a fire alarm which sent a call STRAIGHT TO THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT.  By now it was too late - Just as we all looked at each other…. the sounds of fire engines - two of them - came speeding down our street.  Unfortunately, Old Saint Nick was not hitching a ride to bring more presents to the house.  Nope, it was the brave men and women of Ladder Company 41 - fully dressed - ready to fight fire. Oops! Sorry!

Long story short, (too late), the firefighters came inside and made sure everything was okay.  They were so kind but, of course, teased me a little and went on their merry way.  It’s a holiday memory I will never live down.  Stacey and her nearly life-threatening Christmas dinner.  It has made for one heck of a story…one I can proudly say, ended with a perfectly cooked, fabulous meal.. Le Bec Fin Potatoes and all!

Here is my recipe for Gratin Dauphinois - Le Bec Fin

serves 4-6

cooking time 1-2 hrs.

Ingredients

4 large Idaho Potatoes

2 gloves garlic, peeled & chopped

2 TB butter, softened

1 quart heavy cream

salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Slice potatoes into 1/8 inch thick rounds (a mandoline makes this much easier)

Generously butter baking dish or dutch oven

Place 1/3 of the potatoes in an even layer on bottom of dish

Add enough heavy cream to cover potatoes and season with garlic and salt & pepper

Repeat process twice more or until all potatoes are in dish and end with a layer of cream

Cover dish and bake 1 to 2 hours

Uncover last 10 minutes to brown top

Enjoy!

"New Year's Eve 2007 ...  here we are with our closest friends. We all decided we would ring in the New Year together and since all of us loved our cats & dogs so much, they all came too.  That did not go well.  The girl in the middle ended up getting cat scratch fever and ended up on the ER January 1st. Note to self: cats & dogs on New Year's Eve don't necessarily mix!"

"My Christmas blunder had to do with poor planning in the decorating department and it in no way compares to anything Stacey or Kerstin had to endure. It gave me a good laugh more than anything. I simply ran out of ribbon to trim the tree, but thanks to QVC, I was able to order more and it arrived before the big day and my company. Blessings, Mary Beth"

Pat James-DeMentri

"This is our tree from last Christmas! If you look closely you will see weights anchoring our tree in hopes that she would continue to stand upright.. I admit that four days before Christmas your options are limited to a Charlie Brown tree or the only twelve foot tree on the lot..I got a really great buy so we trimmed three feet off of it and the salesman used a forklift to load it on the car.. The problem was my nine foot ceiling and the front door wasn't quite wide enough.

Once we got it wedged in the front door and again in the hall, I jammed it against the ceiling..when I cut the top it fell but after many attempts I tied it to the door..my thanks to Nicole's friend who helped us trim more off of the bottom and tie it to the weights.

I learned the important lesson of shopping earlier for our tree next time! Our angel is on the table next to the tree..I did; however, find a penny from heaven as we pulled the tree..I miss my Dad.."

She consistently delivers comfortable, cool, and on trend fashion for every woman and now with the LOGO Littles line, something for the "Little" in every woman's life!

Lori has taught us to layer, transition, and even lounge in style. The LOGO Today's Special Value is a piece we've all been been waiting for. The moment in fashion history when the traditional zip-up, hooded lounge jacket meets a chic, edgy, and even classic style.

Here's a look at how some of our hosts took this piece from the LOGO lounge collection and made it their own.

Stacy Stauffer: "Elevated Office" Look

Take your hooded jacket from casual to classic by wearing it cardigan style with a pair of ankle pants or leather leggings. Throw on a pair of heels to bring amp up your office look.

Albany Irvin: "Edgy Chic" Look

Put together a bold look for a night out and simply throw on the LOGO hooded-jacket to transition from night to day while still maintaining an edgy style.

 Jayne Brown: "Casual Comfort" Look

"Casual and comfy and chic, all at the same time. I plan on ordering one in every color!" While it's still a comfortable, hooded sweatshirt, the asymmetrical cut is flattering and gives the traditional zip up a bit of an update.

 Kerstin Lindquist: "Fashionably Fit" Look

Because who says fitness can't be fashionable? The LOGO TSV makes it easy to run errands, make visits, and essentially be fashionable in public after a great workout.

I knew I loved fashion when ...

We asked a few of our fashion designers to answer the question “I knew I loved fashion when ____” and are loving their responses & pictures!

Susan Graver

I knew I loved fashion when I received my first Barbie doll! (Mine had bubble cut hair!) I was obsessed with her clothes and spent endless hours passionately designing new outfits for both Barbie and her friend Midge! One of their outfits won a contest at a local doll fair!

Susan

Dennis Basso

I knew I loved fashion at the early age of 7.  I would sit for hours ‘sketching’ fabulous creations ---- including this wedding dress valued at $500,000!  Even back then I had expensive taste!

DennisBasso

Lori Goldstein

I knew I loved fashion since ALWAYS!

Lisa Rinna

When I was 6 years old, I was obsessed with everything Cher wore on the ‘Sonny and Cher Show’ and Carol Burnett and all of her costumes and gowns on the ‘Carol Burnett Show.’ It turns out all of these were designed by the fabulous Bob Mackie. So, I first knew I loved fashion when I discovered Mr. Bob Mackie!!!

Isaac Mizrahi

"I knew I loved fashion when I stayed up all night studying Vogue's September issue, 1976. I poured over every single image of that magazine. It fascinated me like no other magazine or book I ever saw. "

Isaac

Isaac's dresses featured on the cover of Vogue in September 1995

Nicole Richie

I knew I loved fashion when I used to watch my mother get ready when I was little. She was and still is my style inspiration.

Nicole

Seth Aaron Henderson

I was a very young boy and saw this iconic Christian Dior sketch at my Grandmothers house.

 Seth

Renee Greenstein

The moment I first fell in love with fashion I was a  teenage girl. My aunt surprised me with an extraordinary present when she gave me her Chanel suit jacket.. From that day on my love for fashion only grew as I began to learn the history behind the designs I loved and  what makes an iconic designer like Coco Chanel so timeless.
