Love is in the air! Find out how some of our hosts met their special Valentines. They're sharing their love stories with you!

Amy Stran

After college I was a part of a traveling children’s theatre group. For a year I toured around, performing and pursuing my passion for theater. After a year, I decided to move to New York City with my best friend from college to take my acting career to the next level. As you may have heard, the acting world isn’t the easiest biz to break into, so while I auditioned for various roles I also worked as a waitress/hostess at a restaurant in Manhattan. It was at this restaurant that I met and became close with one of the bartenders. Said bartender just happened to be my husband and best friend, Steve!!

Carolyn Gracie

My husband and I met in 1984 while we were both working at a radio station in Indianapolis. I was DJ and he was a producer. We actually didn’t like each other when we first met, but we ended up going out to a Mexican restaurant a few times with a big group from work, and eventually he asked me out on a date….one Mother’s Day, I’ll never forget. Two years later, we decided to move to L.A. and got engaged! We’re such opposites…he’s a quiet, reserved, but funny guy, and I’m talkative and always trying to make friends with everyone. But you know what they say, opposites attract, and we couldn’t be more of team!

Dan Wheeler

Beth and I met on a train commuting to work in downtown Chicago in September of 1978!

Kerstin Lindquist

Dan and I met when I was a waitress at a huge bar in Los Angeles 12 years ago. I actually went out with his best friend before I met Dan. I was in love within weeks… and 7 months later we were engaged!

Mary Beth Roe

My mother called and said, “I have the guy for you!” She met him one night at church and then immediately called me in Eau Claire and begged me to ome home the following weekend. I made the four-hour drive home to meet Mark and later found out he told his coworkers, “I just met the girl I’m going to marry.

Happy Vday. ❤💋 Truth told, there were many years I hated this 'card store' holiday. Seeing giant hearts floating in store windows is no fun when ur hopelessly single. So how'd I meet my husband Joe? Eharmony. Thank you Neil Clark Warren. I swore I would never do online dating. But then some kind of supernatural courage hit me (plus I was tired of sitting in my Jammies on Friday nights) and I went online.

Gabrielle Kerr

I met Judson in October of 2000.  I was visiting my girlfriend Marisa in New York for the weekend and a friend of hers invited us to a concert at S.O.B.’s in Soho.   Her friend lived in Baltimore but was driving up for the show because he was related to the artist and had the “hook-up.”  When we arrived at the venue her friend hadn’t arrived yet so we had to wait outside.  After about 20 minutes Marisa’s friend pulled up to the curb in a white Lexus and out from the passenger side stepped my future husband.  We talked and flirted all night but never saw each other again until about 8 months later and the rest is history!

Both Amy and I are from the same small town in Minnesota. We met in summer, at the annual Heritagefest celebration. While people drank beer and danced to polka music, I walked over and said 'Hello'.

And thankfully, she didn't run away.

Happy Valentine's Day.
